Honey Baked Ham bakes an awesome ham! When I get one I'm full eating off the bone before the plate gets loaded; Pippi is right there too!

MypinchofItaly Where did you find it? I wasn't aware they were available outside US.

Honey Baked Ham
It's extremely common in the UK, honey baked ham is on every supermarket shelf and they'll be more than one type.

I think between “here and there,” there may be some confusion between the generic product honey-baked ham and the branded product Honey Baked Ham (from The Honey Baked Ham Company).
I think there must be 😆

Oh, I was thinking it was the Honey Baked Ham Co. ham like we have here; not just a honey baked ham.

So what do the honey baked ham company do differently to their honey baked ham?
Assuming it is honey baked ham and not a misappropriated name for an entirely different food 😂

It might be very different, although it is a bone-in ham. The ones I have seen had this sugary crust on them (did not resemble honey) and maybe it had some cinnamon/clove/allspice in the crust? I don't like ham as a chunk of meat on a plate, though I do like it chopped up in omelets or in soup (cooked to death in the soup, please). It's a textural thing for me. But with the honey-baked ham, that spiced sugar totally ruins being able to use the bone in soup. Well I suppose it could be rinsed very well to make sure that icky sugary crust didn't leak on the meat attached...

From their website:
Honey Baked Ham Logo

"Our Gold Standard - always moist and tender Bone-In Honey Baked Ham, smoked for up to 24 hours with our special blend of hardwood chips then hand-crafted with our sweet & crunchy glaze. We've been told time and time again that we have the World's Best Ham. Spiral sliced, fully-cooked and ready to serve for convenience."

Anyway.

Honey Baked Ham

I tried it at the Food Store where I am working outside Cork. OMG it is absolutely delicious!
I have also seen it in other two supermarkets in Cork.
So is it American ham? I thought it
was Irish

Since it's just me and the non-excercising dog I never buy the whole ham that's just too much and too pricey. I get the bones for $5 or $6 ad those still have several lbs. of meat on them. When the meats done the bone works very well for the red beans in red beans and rice. I never noticed a sweet flavor in the bone broth.

I'm sure just about anywhere they cook ham there's a honey baked version. If it's got the logo like JAS_OH1 posted that would be the American one.
