Big weekend ahead

Wife's 61 today, not too bad for an old boiler ( my nick name for her) 4 of our closest friend coming for dinner then euchre.
I've got some Chatham Islands blue cod, I'll beer batter and serve with twice fried chips and salad. With good by sauce. (Thanks Yorky) one friends bringing cheese cake, ill also do garlic bread

Tomorrow night family are here. Wife's three course choice is
Garlic bread
Pumpkin and kumara balls with satay sauce
Beef n red wine stew with cheesy dumplings on top.
Trifle ( daughters making)

Im gunna be cooking all weekend. I'll try and do most stuff today.
Kicks off in 7 hrs.

Part one over and done. Part two starts now with me making pumpkin n kumara balls. Still morning here so cruisy day.

The main beef stew with polenta dumplings with cheese on top. Cooked for 4 hrs. Meat just melted in your mouth. Leftovers for tea tonight. Great weekend but very tiring, after late nightsaturday.
I'm cruising today. 18 deg c So suns out.

Thanks, it was very tiring the whole weekend. But as they say dinner with friends then next night with family. It doesn't get better. I slept til 10 am on Monday morning.lol. Cruisy week ahead though.
