Ceramic pots

A friend of mine highly recommended ceramic cooking pots. I have heard some things about how they are superior even to stainless and don't leach anything into your food. Do you think they are worth the price? I have quite a lot of pots and pans and so t need any new ones, so I am undecided at this point if I want to replace any of them with ceramics.

When I was in Hongkong last year, I was looking at a ceramic pan which looked much better than the ordinary non-stick pans with the black surface. However, the price was double that of the ordinary non-stick so I hesitated. Besides, my husband said that we might have a problem with the airport customs, that we might be asked to pay taxes for that. I am still considering the ceramic pan until now and I have seen one in a hardware store here.
