Chicken gizzards and livers

Does anyone have a tried-n-true recipe for preparing chicken gizzards and livers? I want to deep fry or air fry them and haven't had much success with recipes I've found online. I like them soft cooked.

I think the little problem here is that gizzards need long cooking and livers hardly any. Maybe simmer the gizzards beforehand until they are tender, coat in batter to fry. Not a recipe, I know...
