Serves 6, Preparation time 10 minutes, in the refrigerator for 4/5 hours
- 300 g. of dried biscuits
- 1 cup of water
- 200 g. of dark chocolate
- 150 g. of butter
- a tablespoon of ground coffee or soluble coffee
- 80 g. of brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 little glass of rum (optional)
Begin to crumble the biscuits with your hands and put them in a bowl. Then put the chocolate to melt into a saucepan with a little water and once melted, allow it to cool until it reaches a room temperature.
In another bowl do the same with the butter, make it melt and then with a whip, mount it as a cream. Now add the sugar to the butter and mix until the mixture is smooth. Then join the eggs.
At this point pour the rum (as I did but you can also not put if you do not like alcohol) and the cooled melted chocolate. Continue to knead until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy and, only at the end, add the broken biscuits, add the tablespoon of ground coffee and mix altogether carefully.
Place a sheet of baking paper on a table and pour over the mixture of chocolate salami. Roll up the paper so that it forms a cylindrical roll and rolled the extremes, just like you do with candies. Now, take a sheet of tinfoil and wrap it over the chocolate roll.
Let it rest in the refrigerator for 5 hours (or in the freezer for 2) until it is firm and hardened. Once ready, remove the layers of paper and serve it in slices, as if it was a real salami and… take it to bites!
