:chef: Ingredients
  • 1 lbs crumbled breakfast sausage (cooked)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 cups coconut milk (unsweetened)
  • 1 cup brewed coffee
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp seasoned Salt
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp black pepper

:chef: Instructions
  1. Add the butter to large skillet and stir it around until melted.
  2. Sprinkle the flour over the butter and stir for 2 minutes.
  3. Pour the milk into flour mixture slowly, whisking constantly until smooth.
  4. Whisk in coffee slowly.
  5. Whisk in the seasonings. Taste the gravy and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  6. Add crumbled sausage. Let heat for 3-4 minutes.
    (Note: I cooked & crumbled the sausage ahead of time)
  7. Serve immediately on biscuits or potatoes

:chef: Additional Notes
  • Coffee gives the gravy a bold taste and darker color.
  • In hindsight, I should have used regular milk for a creamier taste. It just has been so long since I have had regular milk in the refrigerator.
