Friends requested a cornelian cherry jam recipe, which I added
This is different from cherry jam and be careful
Ingredients:
Cornelian cherry | 2.2 pound |
Sugar | 1.8 pound |
Lemon juice | 1 tablespoon |
Vanilla | 1 teaspoon |
1. Mix cornelian cherry with sugar
At the beginning of the moraba zoghal akhteh recipe, remove the stems from the cornelian cherries. Wash them thoroughly and let them lose their excess water. When the cornelian cherries are dry, without removing the seeds, pour them into a pot. Add sugar to them. Mix the cornelian cherry and sugar with a spoon.
2. Bring the cornelian cherry to a boil
Cover the container and place the pot in the refrigerator for 10 hours until it drains well and the sugar grains melt with the cornelian cherry juice. Then put the pot on low heat. While the jam is cooking, remove the foam from the liquid and discard it.
3. Add vanilla and lemon juice to the jam
Allow the cornelian cherry jam to thicken. Cornelian cherry should be completely soft and cooked. Then turn off the heat. Immediately after turning off the flame, add lemon juice and vanilla. Mix the ingredients and wait for the cornelian cherry jam to cool. Pour the jam into a glass bottle and serve it.
