This weekend at the store my husband picked up a frozen Cornish game hen and said we should try it this week! I love that he wants us to try new foods, but we have never even eaten it before! How do I know if it turned out right? Normally when we try new foods it is at a restaurant. Then if we like them I try to recreate them at home. That way I at least know what it should look like and taste like if I did it right.

Does anyone have any tried and true recipes? What is your favorite way to cook it? What does it taste like?

A Cornish Game Hen is basically a small chicken. It isn't 'game'. Cook it exactly as you would a chicken!

I love roasting mine. I use a nuwave oven but you can use a regular oven if you don't have the nuwave. I chop up sweet onions, lemons and garlic. Stuff the cavities with garlic and lemon. Toss the onions in olive oil, salt, pepper, and add a couple lemon wedges. Place them around the chickens/hens. Slather some olive oil, salt and pepper on top of the bird and roast. Absolutely delicious and very simple.
