Well I had bought 5 dozen cage free brown eggs on sale (this company: Happy Egg) for $3.99 a dozen several weeks ago (expiry Febuary 3) and now I am down to 6 eggs, so I need to find some on sale somewhere soon and stock up. I dislike those pale yolked eggs, I like the deep, rich orangey yolks from chickens who get to wander around and forage.

BUT have you had a double yolker yet??

Yes, but not recently. I read an article stating that most double yolkers come from either very young or older chooks. Not like it matters in taste, but the orange yolks taste better.

Well I got 2 dozen organic cage free large brown eggs for $6.49 each. Way more than I like paying...

Wow... I won't be eating eggs in shells at that rate. I went by Walmart to get a carton of Egg Beaters and all of those were sold out.

Googling around and found this for egg substitution.
Well the white eggs with the pale yolks were $4.19 a dozen. For baking that's fine but for fried eggs I want those bright orange yolks.

I looked at the substitutes but only flax and chia offer enough protein to compare. Edit. Nevermind. They don't.

Same. I like a bright yellow yolk. I usually buy Burford browns which are deep orange yellow but tomorrow I’m trying out a new brand ‘Freshlay Golden Yolker’ they’re about half the price of my usual ones so I’m fairly dubious but they did get a Gold Taste award so you never know 🤞 🤞 🤞

I didn't need the beating LOL!

Don't worry - it's not going to happen.
I might point out, however, that over here, eggs are eggs. There's no such thing as organic, large, medium, brown, blush pink; eggs are eggs and you get what you get.
Still, at $3.95 for 30, that works out at $0.13 an egg, so who's complaining??:happy:

Same here, eggs are eggs. Brown though. I don't think I've seen white ones.
$0.11 per egg
