First, welcome to cookingbites! I've never heard of them. IMO, knives should be a personal thing. Not all knives are comfortable in every person's hand. They are not one size fits all no matter the brand.
I also haven't heard of them, but they apparently have been in business for 70 years, and they have $200 million worth of revenue. I did find this link, which compares Cutco to legendary knife maker, Wusthof:
The big difference is that Cutco knives are stamped, while Wusthof knives are forged. In general, that means that Wusthof forged knives are more durable and hold their edge longer than Cutco’s stamped knives.
Then again, I expect there to be a price difference. For an everyday knife, Cutco might be perfectly fine. I find that I don't use my Wusthof knives often because they're so expensive...yes, I do realize how silly that is.
