Ingredients

70 gms dried cranberries
1 large cayenne chilli (deseeded), sliced in half lengthways
1 cup albarino
10 ice cubes

Method

Place cranberries, 1/2 the chilli, wine, and five ice cubes in a processor and whizz up for a few minutes. Put contents in a bowl, and use a stick blender to further break up cranberries (don't worry if they don't completely blend in to liquid after a minute or two). Using a coarse strainer, pour the mixture over remaining five ice cubes, and garnish with the remaining 1/2 chilli.

My sort of cocktail! Is it essential to use Alberino? I mean, could another wine substitute?

Absolutely not essential. I just used it because that's what I had. But I think the fruity overtones did help the overall taste, but lots of different wines would have similar fruit/citrus backnotes.
