I usually use a higher quality BBQ sauce or make my own, but I didn't have much time, we had a bottle of Sweet Baby Ray's, and I made a burger recipe of theirs. I won't do that again; SBR is so watered down. The burgers fell apart, and so tonight I have about a pound of burger mash. I'm going to put some jalepenos in it and try to turn it into a sloppy joe type meal. This mess barely tastes of SWR's. Any ideas on what else I can do?

I think sloppy Joe is the way to go, served open-faced, or chili, or (American) goulash/chili mac.

Hey…top some nacho chips with it!

bbq "sauces" are - as I am stupidly led to believe - intended to slather '/drown ribs somehow in the cooking process.
before, during, after, the whole time , , , very subjective issue . . .

using a bbq sauces as an additive to a burger (the burgers fell apart....) . . . yes, I would anticipate a couple problems with that.

as to sloppy joe stuff, why not?

howver comma but and all that "This mess barely tastes of SWR's." - what is a SWR?

Thanks! So far, I only have jalapenos and onions to add. Out of chips-got bread. I want it to have more taste, but adding any more SWR's isn't going to help. I need a bit more sauce. Don't have any vinegar.

It's in the title. Sweet Baby Ray's.

I'm not fond of SWR. I personally wouldn't care for bbq with hamburger meat but sloppy Joe's are probably your best bet. If you think it needs more sauce, maybe Ketchup and soy mixed together with some garlic powder, onion powder, etc. would help. I'd mix it separately and taste it til you like it.

Yeah, Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ Sauce is a run-of-the-mill, generic, Tennessee style, BBQ sauce brand. But most of the liquid is water. It did impart some taste. I'm in TX where BBQ is more spicy than sweet. I have a man who buys food that will last for a year and longer. I dang sure would have never bought a bottle of SWR's.
