My first job was making freezers from coil steel..I welded them up so I know the size by sight. My son only ever had a fridge freezer in his garage . He knew he was getting a whole lamb cut up by my mate.
So I told him.to buy a 12cuft freezer.
He said how much is that in litres as that's how they sell them now. I said the same as my 2 in my garage .
We just delivered the lamb and his freezer is only enough for 1 whole lamb.
He has no idea on sizes for freezers. How do you buy yours ??

I live (sub) tropical but far from the shops and my freezer is full!
I buy based on wattage/power consumption as I have limited power.
But I cant tell you off-hand how big mine is

Mine has a 7.3 cf capacity - bottom freezer of a fridge freezer combo.

I have a small upright one. :whistling:

Only 2 freezer shelves within the top part of my fridge, separate doors.

It doesn't fit much at all, I'd estimate max 10 liters.

Does cu ft stand for cubic feet?

365 litres or 12.88cubic feet. It's a commercial freezer from a catering suppliers, it generates a fair amount of heat and is noisy but it lives in the garage so thats ok.
I wouldn't want to imagine life without a freezer.
So useful when theres a glut of something or you want to batch cook and get ahead with meals or somethings on offer you're not ready to cook or when plans change and something will go out date so you cook it and freeze it.
