Garlic-Shallot-Rosemary Wet Paste Marinade
Makes enough for 1 flank steak or two average strip/sirloin steaks

Ingredients
6 TB olive oil
1 medium shallot, minced (about 3 TB)
6 medium garlic cloves, grated, minced, or pressed (about 2 TB)
2 TB minced fresh rosemary

Directions
Place everything in a blender (or the mixing cup of a stick blender), and blend until smooth. You may need to scrape the sides down a time or two.

Use with your favorite steak recipe, marinating at least 1 hour and as long as 24 hours.

Sounds exactly on point, nothing to add, nothing to take out. Fresh rosemary...divine...strip steaks...

Yes, I should remember both the recipe and the terminology( not meat slices as I posted, but strip steaks)... will google ...

Is it necessary/advisable to salt the meat prior to applying the paste?
