Cooking tonight, I did my usual of tying my just-long-enough-for-a-man-bun hair back, just to lessen the chance of a stray string to make it into the food.

I happened to use a very autumnal pale orange scrunchie.

For those of you with hair long enough to worry about, what do you do? Tie it back? Put on a hat? Don’t worry about it? Inquiring cooks want to know!

My hair is pretty much always tied back with it being quite long. We tend to joke about whose hair it is that we've found, (not necessarily in food) simply by length, ½m and its mine, less than 10cm, its his.

But colour gives a lot away in this house as well: hubby has been going grey since he was 18!

MrsT has always had long hair (except for one brief period we don’t talk about), so back when my hair was short, if we found a hair somewhere, all we had to do was look at the length to know who’s it was, it was nearly always hers (she sheds like a sheepdog).

Now that my hair’s longer, we can’t tell by length, nor can we by color (she’s 50 shades of grey, and I’m getting more grey by the day), but the one telltale sign…my hair is stick straight, and her hair is like a kinked-up piece of wire.

Yeah, I keep mine tied back always and DH doesn't cook but his is kept pulled into a short ponytail. Mine is blonde and his is dark so when I vacuum, the filter has nice blend of ours together in a dark blonde.

However I often think about wearing a head covering to protect my hair from the heat when I bake but don't. I need to do that. My hair has always been a little frizzy but heart makes it worse of course.

Since being so ill, I've lost a good portion of my hair

I've left most of the length so that I can wear a hair piece that I found online.
It's human hair attached to a large "scrunchie". This way I can pull back what I have left and it looks much fuller.

I think it's a nice "messy bun" look.

I was losing hair by the handful, every time I even touched my hair.
It's slowed down alot since using a hair re-growth product recommended by my Dermatologist.
I think this look suits me, since a would normally just pull my hair back all the time with an elastic band.

Looks good to me.
