Recipe Ham Salad Sandwich

These were a regular site lunch for me in the late 60s when I didn't have easy access to fish and chips.

Ingredients.

Bread roll (sourdough in this case).
A little butter or spread.
Lettuce.
Cooked cold ham, sliced.
English Mustard, prepared.
Tomatoes, sliced.
Cucumber, sliced.

Method

Slice the bread roll in half horizontally and spread a little butter over both halves.

Spread lettuce over the bottom half of the bread roll then add a few slices of ham.

Spread mustard generously over the ham.

Add the tomatoes and cucumber.

Top with the other half of the roll.

Not that I'm obsessive about the order of things but I do spend some time deciding how to build a sandwich (and beefburgers in particular). So much so that the doctors are now monitoring and recording my deliberations.
