New Year's Day and there are *lots* of hungover peeps about I'm sure. Wherever you are what is your typical regional cure for a hangover breakfast?

In the desert SW of the US it's mostly menudo.

Here in Georgia it's some kind of Waffle House food.
Eggs, bacon, grits, cheese, waffles, and black coffee.

Here, we take the “ounce of prevention” method - before starting down the road Sloshtown, take two aspirin and drink two big glasses of water.

Egads! NGA used to sponsor a CompuServe Forum - ended their sponsorship in 1998(?)
when did NGA set up their new Forum site?
Your response is about like many others! The majority of Mexicans are really poor and by the time they got the animal the meat was long gone; hence the many menudo recipes made with, heads, hearts, lungs, intestines, tongues, stomachs, etc. Those parts weren't deemed healthy for people of high stature to eat.

Hair of the dog, definitely.
That could be a cold beer.
Found a good one when I was last in Mexico, however; a michelada: beer, lime juice, hot sauce, tomato juice, orange juice all mixed together with...
even more hot sauce!

If you can keep that down you’re not properly hungover 😂
