I’ve got the Ninja Foodi Mini and I have a small beef joint (500g) and I want to be able to slice the leftovers for sandwiches after I’ve had a roast dinner for one - what’s the best way to cook it medium? So far I've only baked a loaf of bread in it so not sure of timings as all the guides assume I'm putting in a 1kg beef joint but for one person that's too much!

Im assuming either the Pressure Cooker or Air Fryer options would be best, just need to know timings etc.

I'm not an expert here with Ninja or beef joints but I think pressure cooking is wrong. That is for meat that would otherwise take a very long time to cook. Usual advice is to reduce the time by one third in an air fryer compared to a conventional oven.

The question is, do you want your beef rare, medium rare or well done?

To be brutally honest - if you want proper roast beef, then roast it in the oven.
If you've got a meat thermometer, then that's the way to go - about 145F (63C) for medium rare.
But then who am I to tell you, if I don't eat the stuff?  I did cook a 4kg roast for some people about 3 years ago, and they loved it.
If they'd seen me poking it with a thermometer every 10 minutes, they might have had second thoughts:hyper::hyper::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

The instruction manual says for a 1kg joint of meat, 60 minutes in the Pressure Cooker is the required time. As my joint is 500g do I reduce it by half? Even Ninja don't know, it seems they only provide cooking times for a 1kg joint that is suitable for 4-6 people in their Ninja Mini which is suitable for 1-2 people so nothings making sense - I can't be the only person in the world to have ever cooked a small roast joing of beef!!

My gas/electric bill has more than doubled in the last 3 years so using a massive oven (compared to a 1-2 person Ninja Foodi) is prohibitly expensive and not only wastes money for such a small meal, it's carbon footprint is high too so it's bad for my wallet and the enviroment.

Any way, as I appear to be the only person in history to cook such a small roast joint this way, I bunged it in for the same time as a 1kg joing and hoped for the best and it was delicious so 60 minutes is the answer.

Ah yes. I'd forgotten about British gas/electricity/water bills!! I pay about $12 a month, so never really an issue.
As for carbon footprints; Venezuela is light years away from anything even remotely related. No recycling, all the rubbish is the same bag, etc.

Your power surges and outages would drive me bonkers.

Its unusual to cook a roast joint in the pressure cooker. Was it not falling apart?
