Do you stay home and celebrate by relaxing quietly away from the crowds? Or do you invite people to your house or go to other's houses to celebrate with a nice spread of food and drinks?
Is nightlife more to your liking, and celebrating in a club setting with lots of people what you enjoy?

Share your favorite food and drink recipes and traditions to celebrate the New Year.

Please share: tips, tricks, techniques, shortcuts, time-saving tips, cost-saving tips, and secrets to success.
This is not a contest. There is no judging. A place to share ideas, and recipes, go for advice, and inspiration, be adventurous, and try something new. This thread has no time limit, so you can add something whenever you like.

If you have posted a recipe, please post a link to it.

I like to stay home.

I make an assortment of homemade salads, and dips. I also have an assortment of cold cuts, crackers, breads, chips, and condiments.

It's a two-day help yourself feast.

This olive salad tastes better after it sits for at least a day. The celery absorbs the dressing and tastes yummy. I have added an assortment of different olives over the years. Use/add whichever olives are your favorite. Leave out the anchovies for a vegan alternative.

We stay home on New Year’s Eve and have fondue or raclette or festive appetizers, and on the following day, we usually have pork-and-sauerkraut.
