My Mother just loves Dilly Beans, and I've attempted several different recipes that all come out WAY to sour.
We use to be able to buy commercially canned Dilly Beans, but haven't seen them in many, many years.
Does any one have a good recipe that is not sour.

This is the recipe I last used:

2 lbs. fresh Green Beans
add to each jar: 1/4 tsp each Red Pepper Flakes, Mustard Seeds, Dill Seeds; 1/2 clove of Garlic
bring to a boil 2 cups each white Vinegar & Water and 1/4 cup Salt

This is the recipe I was thinking of using (I used this for Three Bean Salad and it was very good) :
    • 1 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
    • 3/4 cup bottled lemon juice
    • 2 1/4 cups of sugar
    • 3/4 cups of oil
    • 3 3/4 cups water
    • 1 1/2 tsp canning salt
