Kahlua Bundt® Cake
Serves 10-12
Ingredients:
For the Cake:
1 box Yellow Cake Mix
1 3.4oz. box Instant Vanilla Pudding Mix
4 Eggs
½ C. Kahlua
½ C. Vegetable Oil
½ C. Water
For the Glaze:
1/2 C. Butter
¼ C. Kahlua
½ C. Water
1 C. Granulated Sugar
Method:
Pre-heat your oven to 350°F/176°C
Combine all of the Cake ingredients in a bowl, as recommended on the Cake Mix box (I just dump it all in to the Stand Mixer)
Grease & Flour your Bundt® Pan
Pour the batter in to the prepared pan and bake for the recommended amount of time on the Cake Mix box (each brand is different)
In the meantime, pre-set for your Glaze : in a medium saucepan, add all of the Glaze ingredients
Have a rimmed sheet pan and rack set in it at the ready
Once your Cake is baked nicely (a wooden toothpick comes out cleanly), set it on that sheet pan & rack
Over a medium-high heat on the stovetop, bring the Glaze mixture to a boil, making sure that the Butter has fully melted, for 3 minutes
Your Cake should have now rested in the pan for about 5 minutes, so it's still hot
Pour the Glaze over the Cake that's still in the pan
Leave the now Glazed Cake in the pan to marry for at least 4 hours
The Cake should be fully cooled and can now be removed
Your Kahlua Cake will taste much, much better if you leave it to sit, covered, for at least two days, trust me on this
I dolled this Cake up for the Christmas Buffet with some crushed Almonds on top and a fancy presentation.
ENJOY!
