Ms. Mofet’s Berry Cobbler
≈ 4 – 6 Servings
4 TBSP. Butter
3/4 C. all-purpose flour
3/4 C. sugar
1 tsp. Baking powder
1/4 tsp. Salt
1 - 2 TBSP. Cinnamon sugar - or to taste
3/4 C. milk
1 (12 oz. pkg.) Frozen Fruit - (Cherry Berry Blend - Cherries; Blueberries; Raspberries; Blackberries OR frozen fruit of choice)
2 TBSP. Cinnamon sugar
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Put butter in an 8X8-inch square pan; place in the oven until butter is melted.
Remove the pan from the oven and set aside.
Using a medium bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon sugar and mix well.
Whisk in milk until a smooth batter forms.
Pour batter into the prepared pan, then scatter fruit over the batter.
Sprinkle with Cinnamon sugar.
Bake until the top is lightly browned and fruit bubbles, 50 to 60 minutes.
Serve warm topped with vanilla ice cream, or at room temperature.
