Ms. Mofet's Glazed Carrots

≈8-10 Carrots, peeled and sliced 1/4" Thick On The Bias
2 TBSP. Water
2 TBSP. + 2 tsp. Butter, or vegan butter substitute
1/4 C. Brown Sugar (Or Sugar)
1/2 TBSP. Dark Corn Syrup Or Molasses (Or Combo)
1/8 tsp. Salt
1/4 tsp. Cinnamon
1/2 TBSP. - 1 TBSP. Juice - To Taste
Orange Zest, additional for garnish, to taste - Optional

Steam, microwave, or boil carrots till tender crisp. Set aside.
Combine water, butter/vegan butter substitute, brown sugar, salt, corn syrup, cinnamon, and juice in the pot.
Bring to boil then lower heat and simmer, stirring till thickened.
Stir in zest if using.
Place carrots in a serving container or bowl.
Pour mixture over the carrots and turn to coat.
Garnish with orange zest, if desired.
May prepare in advance and reheat.
