I have a Chef's Choice electric knife sharpener. I've had it for many years... probably close to 20 years. It works great.
Just make sure you go slow and work each step as instructed. If you just dive in without knowing how your sharpener works, you can easily ruin a knife. Go slow and don't push down too much. Let the machine to the work. Keep a light hand on your knives. Run the life through like you are slicing a delicate mushroom.
