Obviously, a coronavirus-related question: in what new ways are you using or reusing items/ingredients?

I'll give an example:

When I make (or buy jarred) pesto, it's for one of three things: to put on some bread (as a snack), to mix into pasta, or to dollop on some pizza.

I have a bit of pesto I need to use up, so today, I'm going to scramble it into some eggs, with some cherry tomatoes added as well.

This could also encompasses new or inventive ways you're incorporating leftovers into another dish. MrsTasty and I don't really like leftovers, but in this waste-not-want-not time, we're doing a good job of throwing out very little.

How about you? What are you all coming up with in your kitchens?

Now is good idea make use everything, I say before no throw any thing today you look for tomorrow. I never throw cheese rind, I make soup use stale breads. Use stale breads make own bread crumb.
Pesto very good in eggs, I think this good thread maybe we all get idea.

Last Friday night trying to decide what to do with 4 left over meat balls and 1 & 1/2 cooked Italian sausage.

Removed the skin from sausage and tossed it and the meatballs into food processor for a quick chop. Dumped the results into a mixing bowl, added chopped onion, tomatoes (drained) , chopped pepperoni, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, 1/3 cup soften cream cheese and 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan.

Mixed it all together - rolled out a sheet of dough flat, spooned the meat mixture down the middle of the dough sheet and then folded the dough side up to the middle and pinched it shut. Brushed with garlic oil and baked per dough instructions. Turned out pretty good. Guess it was similar to a Stromboli...?

Unless I am intentionally cooking to have leftovers to freeze I try to cook for two. I still end up with bits and pieces of leftovers. I cleaned out the leftovers last night. Everything went into one pot - I guess a leftover stew.
I have a chicken in the fridge to roast. Roasted chicken, chicken salad and chicken soup from one bird.
I have a ham ordered for pickup tomorrow. Boiled dinner Sunday, ham for sandwiches and salad and split pea soup.
With 9 of us in the family Mother never threw anything away. Little pieces of meat, a tablespoon or two of vegetables all went into the fridge. Sunday's Mother would make a meat pie. Everything went into a pot with a can of baked beans and some plain yellow mustard. She would make a top and bottom crust, put everything together and bake. That was a favorite. An after school snack cold out of the fridge
