Yep one taste of seafood and it releases the devil in themIn the townhouse I owned when I first met Craig, there was a pass through from the kitchen in the back of the sink to the dining room. My cat used to sit on the shelf of the pass through to watch what we were doing in the sink and occasionally reach down to swipe her paw through the running water, then lick it off her paw. Craig made the mistake of giving her a raw shrimp once when he was cleaning them. That's all it took. From then on, if you didn't give her what she considered her fair share, she'd take it. And, you better believe it was with claws fully extended because she wasn't going to miss out. He came away with red streaks on his hands more often than not.
Cats (and definitely dogs) senses of smell are 14 times greater than humans, which probably means they can smell a shrimp at 1500 yds...

That's the little stinker who eats EVERYTHING, she goes absolutely nuts for treats, anytime there is evidence left on the floor (rib bones chicken bones, shrimp remains etc...) it's always muffin who's guilty. I always throw the waste away deep in the garbage can with other stuff on top of it, PLUS a lid on the garbage can and she still finds a way to "Mission Impossible" herself into the garbage.
She can be a sadistic demon. There was one time a mouse got in my house. Cat + literal razor sharp claws + mouse = tongs I will never use again, lots of paper towels and lots of bleach with 7 or 8 dry heaves by yours truly. An absolute crime scene.Lookin all sweet and innocent in that 1st photo.
Cute. Have to show this to my daughter. She will melt away.
