I think they were $2.99, everywhere. They're infrequent and she really likes them. If I open the bag so she can smell it she carries them to the checkout. Growls when I reach for them!
I sometimes bake treats for our pugs, one recipe using pureed baby food, turkey or beef. All the pugs in my avatar have gone over the rainbow bridge, but the largest one knew when she heard the pop of me opening the jars that cookies were going to be coming soon. She'd sit where she could watch me mix, then roll out and cut, chuffing every so often. Then, while they baked, she'd sit and stare at the oven, with chuffs getting a bit more frequent, especially when they started to smell. Once they came out and were cooling, she'd sit staring up at the counter chuffing almost constantly. Our kitchen and family room were all 1 big great room at the time, so Craig and I would be sitting on the couches trying not to fall off since we were laughing at her so hard.

Went to the mailbox, 12 minutes round trip walk, and she had to make sure I wasn't leaving.
