… from one home to my second.

I really don't want to take more trash up here than I have to, so I sort things back down at the old home before bringing them up. Ran into a beat up old box Monday, and was expecting to throw it out.

I'd been looking for a lot of their recipes. I haven't had time to peruse them all, but I've seen at least THREE I was dying to have, and thought had been lost for good.

At any rate, anyone else have luck finding old family recipes long thought lost??

I have one here my wife started buying me piece meal over 30 years ago, some of my most popular recipes are from this set.

You can see it's pretty battered from lots of use. Great recipes. Old but good!!

They're mostly mother's recipes. A few she got from her mother, but probably more from her aunts and from neighbors (and some she copied from newspaper clippings). Dad's are mostly his. I would love to have my grandmother's cheesy grits recipe but as Dad disliked grits or oatmeal, and it was his mother's recipe, I doubt that's in there.

But I am sure I have a wealth of things I do want! No time to get lost in the files just yet!
