Supermoon Total Lunar Eclipse

A supermen happens when the moon is as close as it ever gets, and I'm sure you know what an ellipse is. BOTH are happening Wednesday, May 6.

It doesn't look like Europe will see it. But the US will, and it looks like Australia and New Zealand, too.

Astronomically, that's referred to as a Pretty-Good-But-Not-Quite-As-Impressive-As-A-Super-Moon Moon.

Yeah, that's pretty much it. I wonder how much effect it had on the tides, with the moon being closer.
