Leftovers get sliced and sauteed in butter, with a fried egg on top for breakfast.
I prefer spatzle, not a fan of the kartoffelklosse.
My husband LOVES those, especially with sauerbraten and rotkhol. He didn't get any of his granny's recipes, she was German, but we've gotten pretty darn close to most of his favorites from her. Ended up using baked, riced potatoes with potato flour, use the same for old style German potato pancakes too.After I get the kartoffelklöße figured out I can explore those. It'll be getting down to low 20°F soon so oven on is okay!
