My maternal Grandfather collected... stuff. One of the things he collected were Sunbeam toasters from the 1950s/1960s. Thing is, they really were excellent toasters.

I do, and toasting crumpets or muffins on the fire on a Sunday afternoon. I've still got one of the family toasting forks and it looks just like the one on the left in your picture.
Me. First year at university and I got invited to "tea" by a third year student. Toast on a toasting fork, over an open fire.

i would stab the toast on the edge, so i can flip it to the other side with the twist of a wrist.
