Five must-try Turkish dishes with food guru Refika Birgül

Have you eaten any of it? And did you like it?

We used to go on a regular base to a Turkish restaurant in the Netherlands and I thoroughly enjoyed the food
There was a sauce they made that came with the meat and potatoes that was just out of this world.
Definitely tomato based, but a bit spicy as well. No idea what it was called

I love Turkish food, and it is readily available in the UK, particularly in the cities. It has a reputation as being the healthiest street and fast food on offer. The smell of a Mangal grilling over wood is wonderful, I just wish I could make a chilli sauce like they do.

I have absolutely no memory of making or eating that, but the pics don’t lie, so there it is.

ETA: Further research reveals I did not enter those eggs in a challenge, so that’s a faulty bit of my memory. I don’t even know who I am anymore or why I’m even here. Why are any of us here? I think I’m having an existential crisis over these Turkish recipes!
