My husband and I use Venison in place of hamburger for just about everything. We hunt, dress and process it ourselves. Although we process most of our venise into hamburger, there are so many types of meat harvested such as tenderloin, ribs, steaks, chops and even hamburger. Small cuts of venison can be used to make stews and soups. We have found freezing the venison prior to cooking it helps to remove the 'wild' taste it sometimes has.
