I just heard about a Vietnamese green - called “morning glory” - that’s apparently a staple in that country. @Yorky: have you had it?

Thai Spinach ( Spinaca Oleracea Linn ) is similar however, the spinach that you are posting is called Vietnamese Spinach .. From our trip to both Bangkok and Phuket Island, the Thai Spinach stems are quite a bit finer and thinner ..

All the greens we had in Phuket Island were simply amazing .. and the flowers as well and the shellfish ..

I'm no botanical expert, as I'm sure none of us here is, are but as far as I know (its only because I researched it ages ago due to my name!) the Thai Morning Glory and Vietnamese Morning Glory are not Spinaca plants (spinach) they are Ipomoea plants: specifically Ipomoea aquatica
