What is the one meal you have to cook every week?

My family loves tacos and they don't care if I use turkey burger, ground beef, or chicken but they practically demand something with taco seasoning and shells every week. So even while I am trying my best to eat lower carbs I still fix this dish for them every Tuesday. Now I just leave out the shells for me. Is there a dish that you or your family have to have regularly because they love it so much?

Tacos for me too. My whole family loves them and they are super easy to make. They are great for a quick weeknight meal. I just discovered that you can saute some onions in coconut oil and give the tacos a little tropical flare.

A week does not go by where I don't cook rice in some form or fashion. I keep telling people I have cooked rice in every way possible, but then I come across some new recipe and realize there are still several methods to explore.

What I need to do where rice is concerned is embrace different and healthier brands of rice. That once a week meal also includes chicken in one form or the other.

Rice and peas is a meal that I cook every week, more than once a week. If rice is cooked 3 times a week, each time the peas would vary. Chicken is also cooked every week, usually more than once a week. Rice is something that is always kept on hand, and it tends to last longer and stretch further than any other meal. It is not something that I have to cook, however. I just tend to cook it more regularly than any other meal.

Tacos is a must have dinner at least once a week at my house. I, too, omit the shells because of cutting back on carbs. I, sometimes, use huge lettuce leaves as my "shell." I have recently tried the newer Taco Bell sauces from WM and love it! I had to measure out my set amount so I wouldn't go over my carb limit.

I usually do some sort of chicken and veggie dish for my fiancé and I. It's just an easy go-to dish for dinner when we don't know what else we want. That, or mac and cheese :)

I like to have a bowl of noodles or pasta at least once a week, but I tend to try to eat any leftovers first. The great thing about noodles is that I can have it anytime of the day and it's usually breakfast or a midnight snack! If I make pasta, I make enough so I have an extra portion for later or the next day.
