"On Dartmoor" looked odd to me, but British English is weird

Dartmoor is a huge open space of moorland, in Devon. Thus, if I were living "on " the moor, I'd be basically isolated, lonely.
In Dartmoor would definitely not be a good option, especially for a woman

I’m already on the hunt for the Christmas goodies. Cereal aisle is always the best place to start, along with the cookie aisle.

Well, I’ll admit I had to cheat a little by going into a Hallmark shop, but…SUCCESS!

I went to Target and was a little disappointed that they had no Christmas stuff out yet - they’re usually stocking by now.

I should have gone to Sam’s Club, because I’m sure they are. I’ve posted about it before (meaning Christmas items in August).

I was in Michaels a few weeks ago, and the place was loaded with Halloween stuff. I didn't see any Christmas stuff. I don't have any Dollar stores near me, and I won't set foot in Hobby Lobby.
