In the Winter, dining outdoors regardless of the weather are very common place in Spain. As you can see in the Photo, our bars have Mushroom Heating Lamps to provide the heat from the chill .. They are called: Mushroom, Umbrella or Patio Heaters ..

They come in commercial use sizes and personal use sizes and run on: Gas, Natural Gas, Electricity and other forms of fuels ..

Do you have this foodie culture ? Where do you dine or have a bite during the Winter ?

For us, it's pretty much the only comfortable (non-sweaty) time to eat outdoors. The outdoor heat emitters are only turned on a few late aternoons/evenings in January and February for the most part. It's in the mid to low 70s in the evenings here now.

Very common also in Italy during wintertime..we can have our lunch or dinner or aperitif outdoor regardless of the weather thanks to heating lumps we call Funghi (mushrooms)..

In our local area those who eat outside in winter are either people with dogs or smokers, not across the board but generally speaking. I would not sit outside by choice in the cold weather, cool or a bit nippy yes, cold no :headshake:
