Your other hobbies.

I like it. I like her dress colours a very much. I like her sleeping with her dragon. The way you’ve draped the sheet under her is great. I like her little feet poking out the bottom of her dress. If I was being super super picky (and I do mean super picky) then maybe this bump is just a weeny bit high? Although I’m not certain of that and if changing it means you lose seeing her feet then I wouldn’t alter it. It’s been many decades since I’ve slept in a ball gown so I can’t quite remember how they crease 😂

I am thinking that she looks like she needs something in her hands. In the modern world it would probably be an iphone 😂 but maybe a tiny frame with a sepia photo of someone she’s longing to see? Or something written in Elvish on parchment paper?

You’ve captured something really well because I feel like theres a good story here.

Edit: Just read your post above (hadn’t seen it as I was typing), thanks for the story!

The bump will go away once I spray the draping/stiffening stuff on. Actually, any puffiness will pretty much. The fabric is taffeta so it's kind of stiff. I noticed the bump, just can't do much with it until I use the spray. I'll probably redrape that area a bit also once I get the spot gluing done as well.

No, I definitely don't want to lose her little toes. The teacher didn't even use the legs on hers, but I wanted the toes to peek out.

That's a good idea about putting a picture frame or something in her hands. I was going to just push them up closer to her chin, but I'll look and see if I have any findings I can use as a frame or if i have any if the parchment type paper left, which i had once upon a time. Thanks for the idea!

I’m interested in what the draping/stiffening stuff is?

It’s gloriously ethereal. Lovely.

You can get it in a spray bottle, as well as bulk.

I love fabric, always have (my mum said as soon as I could walk I was touching different fabrics) and quite some years ago was doing a project where I searched for something to do just what this product does, all I got was advice on using PU glue which would have ruined the fabric, so I’ve stored this info for later use. THANKS 🤩

I was looking at some of the Facebook mini forums and was totally blown away by this. It is a commissioned piece of knock off Murano glass and is wired for electricity. I don't even want to know the cost.

Whoever’s done that has quite some skills!

I can't find the pic of the dress you’re doing next?

This looks so difficult. I can't even imagine how people managed to get to this point.

Princess Adira went for a stroll in the forest because she was so sad her dragon egg was stolen from her by an evil sorceress. Adira walked and walked until she came to the haunted forest. She was going to turn around and go back to the castle, but then she saw the sunlight bouncing off something silver and bejeweled just inside the forest's edge. So, gathering her courage, she ran into the forest, grabbed the handle of the urn, then ran back into the sunlight. Adira, being a curious elf, opened the urn and out popped a tiny golden-red dragon. The dragon grew and grew until she was the same size as Adira. Then, she told Adira her name was Kaylith and she was her dragon that had been stolen by the sorceress. The two of them hugged and then slowly walked back to the castle since Kaylith had been in that tiny urn for so long and needed to learn to walk. Once they got back, they were so tired they curled up together on Adira's bed and took a nap. Next up, flying lessons!

I love the ringlets in her hair.

Love it!
Glad Adira got her dragon back!

In addition to being a halfway decent cook, I'm also a pretty lousy songwriter and guitar player. 95% of the music I make I've never shown to anyone, except maybe my wife on rare occasions.
Oh, I've tried writing songs too, but nothing ever turned out right. I'd love to hear your songs.

I don't know if this counts as a hobby yet, but I'm learning it for a reason.

I'm doing a patchwork quilting course at the moment. It's 5 weeks long (was meant to be 4, but has been extended at no extra cost). It's something I wanted to do and going back to uni full time means I'll not have chance again for a couple of years.

This is the first project. All of the patch work was sewn together by hand. The test of the project and the rest of the course is done on a sewing machine.
