I've finished 2 pairs of socks this week. They are now in the post as Christmas presents.

I wasn't that happy with the pink ones, but I hate pink and I think that influenced my knitting them.

The green and brown pair on the other hand, I love. They are scrappy socks only I matched the scraps this time around.

Yeah. All my socks are hand made. There's loads of them on this thread if you scroll back. I've knit over 100 pairs now. People love them because you actually fit them to their feet rather than buying a sock that covers a range of sizes. For example I have 1 for a UK size 5¾ and the other is 7¼. If I buy UK socks, their size range is 4-7. That fits one foot OK but is tight on the other foot which I hate.

Everyone I know who has hand knit socks much prefer them to shop bought. And I know plenty of people who knit socks. One or two manage to sell them but it's only to people who know what they are worth.

I only knit for "knit-worthy" family and friends. That's people who I know will appreciate the knitting and look after the items I knit.
