This was our picnic spot today, right alongside I-68 in Maryland:

Spotted our laughing kookaburra through the window (apologies for the mesh). Apparently he's been using the guttering all morning and hubby has been watching 'him'. This is the 'fellow' that was watching be mow the lawn over the last few days, not phased by the petrol mower at all. We can usually get to about 5m away from it before it will move off a little.

A parhelian or Sundog. You can also see the shape of the sun is distorted. Both are caused by a certain type of ice crystal in the atmosphere often signaling a change (for the worse) in the weather.

Normally you only see the ice-bow to the left or right of the sun. In this instance there is a clear colour split (similar to a rainbow) at the top as well. It's been awhile since I last saw one.
