Beautiful pics, it looks absolutely gorgeous. The Netherlands might be my net vacation destination, I’ve wanted to go forever. Not to mention I have a friend there I’d like to visit as well.

Fun fact, I took a DNA test not long ago and found out I have a bunch of Norwegian in my blood. My family likes researching our ancestry yet nobody has a clue where this came from😆

If you do, please visit more than Amsterdam. We have much more beautiful places!
I recommend Delft, Alkmaar, Maastricht and Utrecht in that order.

We saw these 2 cuties on our walk this morning.

These are rocks, not metal. I'm assuming that they did have a high iron content at some point because it really does look like they rusted away.

And a dreaming pathway just behind the beach. It was blowing a gale on the beach, but lovely and calm here.

The rock formations are beautiful.

Thank you. We are totally fascinated by them. It's as though they're is iron in the rock that has rusted away over the millennia. There are also areas where the magna was black in layers and there are fossils in the rocks (usually animal footprints) as well. These photos below are from a previous visit to the area (Dec 2021).

Around the immediate vicinity of this ship wreck, the entire area is rusted sheet metal pieces about 2cm by 3cm or maybe an inch square. Millions of pieces of all that remains of this ship. Below is the only surviving piece of the ship which is the boiler. Inside are the long rods of metal that were the braces for holding the tanks together and stopping it exploding from pressure. It's the design of the boiler that is the reason it is the last remaining piece of the ship. All that has not rusted away over the years since the wreck (29th May 1879). The ship was the SS Monaro. (This link leads to a pdf (https://mdhs.org.au/pdfs/Ships and Shipwrecks/Monaro.pdf) regarding the actual night the wreck took place. The website is the Moruya and District Historical Society. )

That second picture (original post and latest visit) has become my wallpaper on my phone. I might need to think a bit more about the location of icons when taking an image for a wallpaper, when we go there again (we will, we both loved it)...

And for the really observant, yes my husband is sitting in a really big box with a huge grin on his face. This is the original.
