She did indeed have oversized paws.

She was the perfect size for us - 42 pounds. That’s why we wanted a field setter over a bench setter…much smaller, and the hair is a tad shorter.

She had incredibly long legs for her body size. My brother used to affectionately call her Lank, because she was so lanky.

I used to just love to watch her run. Pure beauty in motion, like a horse.

My mother in law up until recently had two setters, a Red setter and a Gordon setter and WOW they could fly.
They could actually outrun a rabbit, well ok not most rabbits, because they can’t change direction as quickly as a bunny but occasionally they’d catch their own supper!
