Christmas 2022

What's that?
Apparently, it’s Italian for pot roast.

The description for the recipe says, “This delectable one-pot meal features a rich and savory braised pot roast topped with a bright combination of lemon, garlic, and parsley that bring the flavor of this fork-tender beef to life.”

MrsT just saw the total charges on the credit card she ok’d me to use for Christmas spending:
(Mrs T´s verdict)
"You are hereby condemned to drinking Bigelow´s Weak Tea for the next month, along with Walmart chocolate chip cookies. For breakfast you will have Kellogg´s cornflakes, with goat milk and no sugar. If you desire an alcoholic drink, then Kroger´s Sherry Wine is all that will be available. I have spoken"

(Been watching too many reruns of Game of Thrones- Cersei rules, but Daenyris rules more:D:D:D:D:D)

"You are hereby condemned to drinking Lipton Tea for the next month, along with Walmart chocolate chip cookies. For breakfast you will have Kroger cornflakes, with skim milk and no sugar. If you desire an alcoholic drink, Busch beer is all that will be available. I have spoken"

Pot roast.
The man is spot on.:bravo::bravo:
It only sounds more "gourmet" because it´s in a foreign language.
I´ve got this sneaky feeling that, at some stage in history, English speakers disparaged, belittled and generally made light of recipe titles in English.
I mean, what sounds better:
Pasta wiv tomatoh sauce, or Fettucine alla napolitana ?
Mashed up chickpeas with garlic & oil, or Hummus bi Tahini ?
Raw fish covered in rice and seaweed or Makisuzhi?
A bunch of veggies in a spicy cream sauce, or Navratan Korma?
Or the best of all, odds & ends, Chinese style - or Chop Suey?

:D:D:D:D

TastyReuben is just happy he doesn't have to drink Pickwick tea, which is a Dutch brand to best all the worst brands by being the absolute bottom dreg of anything called remotely tea.
He discovered this horrifying reality after buying it for far too much money at the international store and had already unfortunately ingested the poison before I could warn him of the impending doom 🤪
