So we had a nice time at our nephew's house last night and we last minute decided to do Christmas Eve dinner at our house, just the 4 of us. I really didn't want to go to the store for anything although I looked at the sales flyers today. I shopped out of my freezer and found a 6 lb. turkey breast, which i put in a ziplock and into a small cooler in our kitchen to thaw. I'll put it in brine late tomorrow night and into the smoker early afternoon (they're coming at 6). I have potatoes and such so I'll do mashed potatoes with sour cream and cheese topped with bacon (baked in the oven). I've got asparagus and salad stuff too so that's covered. I've got plenty of flour and starter on hand so I'll make some sourdough rolls. I've got stuff to make some sort of appetizer, too. I won't have to leave the house! Nephew's wife is making her awesome creme brule cheesecake and she's bringing stuff to make espresso martinis. I have 0 Christmas decorations up though. Oh well.

Sounds like a fantastic in house shop.
I should be able to pull off several of those when all my unwanted shopping arrives 😂

Crème Brûlée Cheesecake

She made it when they hosted Thanksgiving last month. My DH, who is not a desserts person, wouldn't shut up about it for days. He's right, it really is that good.
 
Left really early this morning, to avoid the hysterical Xmas shopping crowd. I had to wait for the Mall shops to open, but within 30 minutes, I had everything I needed - including some surprises for Mrs KKA. (They'll probably get sent back).
Done, anyway. No more Xmas shopping till 2025!!
