Christmas 2024

Really different this year.. our daughter wants to put on xmas lunch. I've done it for 40+ years.
BUT I will supply and cook pickled pork a leg of lamb and new potatoes .
I agreed under sufferance. Shes a very good cook but she will crack under pressure. Cooking for 11.
I'm pretty certain it will.be my turn next year??

Negative thinking, mate, negative thinking. Gotta pass on the knowledge to the younger generation :hyper:
My youngest son pestered me to teach him how to make roast potatoes. His are now better than mine.
(Mind you, he hasn't got a clue how to make sprouts or carrots!)

It's this which annoys me
Lisa; harry do you want new potatoes, harry do you want pumpkin, harry do you want roast carrots and on and on and on with the 3 youngest.
Food will be cold.
Shes a teacher so takes over.

I have had acouple of ropey christmas dinners over the years, but you just have to suck it up and be grateful. They volunteered to do the biggest meal of the year and no doubt put everything they could into it, so you smile and say thank you.

Hey...I do my best :(

Last year, DH & I made up two 'Secret Santa' gift bags for elders in our community and we plan on doing this again, maybe even three if I get my way
I saw this idea on FB and Pinterest and thought ...

How stinkin' adorable is this?
It's all from Dollar Tree and some of the components have several multiples, so I could make alot more in the future...
I really want the New Year! That little reindeer is just too cute!

A salvaged tin can, 3 boxes of Dollar Tree Candy Canes, and the rest from my craft-stash.
Cost me all of $3.75USD
This is for my Mom's apartment as a center piece on her table.
Not perfect like I would have liked but still, how dang cute is that, I mean, COME ON MAN!!!
