Christmas 2024

Present from my mom. She gets me!

MrsT has a reputation for being a terrible gift-giver (which is odd, considering how conscientious she usually is), but she did really well with this.

I was apron shopping awhile ago (online) and she heard me moaning about how all the aprons “for men” were…well, manly - meaning they were either heavy cotton (think Carhartt), or denim, or even leather, and were made like shop aprons. Can’t have a man in a patterned apron, god forbid a man have some style!

So she found me the one above, and it goes below the knee, which I was also moaning about the scarcity of, and the ties are long enough to wrap all the way round.

Two books, and that first one on the left…a recommendation from Morning Glory - thanks!

So pleased you now have that book! Anyone interested in food and flavour should have this. Its my first port if call when a recipe challenge ingredient is announced. It also happens to be very witty and well written. I ignore the flavour wheel at the beginning which I don't find helpful. Cut to the chase and look up an ingredient in the index.

TV so far has been the Doctor Who Christmas episode, which was excellent, and now we’re watching The Lights Before Christmas: Luminous London on Britbox (which by my count we’ve seen twice before).
