Christmas Eve lunch - home made beetroot & liquorice gravadlax with balsamic reduction, parsley oil and finger lime 'caviar':
Instead of boiling them I have microwaved them in some olive oil.
Four minutes at maximum heat in a dish of oil and they take on a sweet nutty flavour.
Dish uncovered and only one layer of sprouts in about 2 mm of oil.Very interesting. Full marks for using the microwave. Do you cover the dish?
Good looking yorkies.
Thanks! They're made with half plain flour and half white whole wheat flour (which really is a very light brown), and I think it's why they have that somewhat spotty look to them.Good looking yorkies.
Now I have a lump in my throat. Believe me, my soul is English, if I may be so forward.Agreed! Anyone would think they were cooked by a Brit.
