My Grandma had an old fashioned hand powered coffee grinder, I remember the smell of coffee and metal mixed...she prepared and drank "Turkish" coffee, cooked on the stove, and let bubble over, almost over...my parents still drink their coffee that way.
For me, it is too strong, at least for now.
Instant soluble coffee is what I prepare each morning, and at work. By pouring hot water over the granules.
So, a coffee grinder is not necessary for me.
Black pepper grinder is what I would purchase in the near future, where the corns are up, in the grinder, and they get grinded when you grab it.
Sometime in the future I would like to have a spice grinder, yes.
Blenders are a struggle, possibly I am in a clumsy, sleep deprived phase, as I broke/damaged the plastic container of the blender my boyfriend gifted me. But, happily, I can still use it, for dry ingredients only, though.
