CookingBites Dish of the Month (June): Savoury Pies & Pasties

A big thank you to everyone who cooked and posted pictures of their pies in June. There were 9 pies/pasties in all (I think).

Nice! The baking stone idea is a good one. Not that I have a baking stone any more since my daughter managed to drop it down the cellar stairs!
Mine stays in the oven which is rarely used for anything other than bread baking. If I do put anything else in there, I put another shelf in just above the baking stone. Although the curry pie was baked in a tin, I put the tin on the baking stone. The heat from the stone made the base of the pie nice and solid - it would probably have gone soggy in just the tin.
