Yes, I quite understood that from the spoiler. I took 'salad' to indicate anagrammatical messing about (it was used as a 'key' word back in the day - salad implying chopping and changing). But I see that you take delight in throwing away the rule book - and why not indeed.
That's why I'm even more confused. But I will have my day - and vengeance is a dish best eaten cold (like salad).
